The printmaking program at Dordt is vital to maintaining a solid and extensive fine art emphasis and support for the graphic design emphasis with a historical base in graphic image assembly and traditional processes in silkscreen, relief, intaglio etching, and lithography with 20 litho stones available and 3 presses in a dedicated printmaking studio with 3 vented areas for safe chemical handling.
Introduction to Printmaking
An introduction to some basic printmaking methods including serigraphy, linocuts, collographs, and intaglio. Class size is limited. (Design Theory or Basic Drawing is a requirement for this course.)
Students increase the scope and complexity of their projects to enhance their printmaking skill sets.
